A shout out to any of my Carlson colleagues who are stopping by today via the link on Epicenter. I'm just kidding about the title of this post.... life's too short not to take some time to stop and smell the blogs, so to speak. I'm so glad you stopped by.
Apparently, my brother's and my saga has sparked a plot revolution among medicine shows. ER and Gray's Anatomy are sure to follow. And perhaps Freddie. Stay tuned, viewers!
If Freddie needs an organ, I'm willing to donate...specifically, if he'd like my tongue in his mouth... Wait, is the tongue an organ? Whatever. I think you get what I'm trying to say.
In fact, the momentum is so strong that the Los Angeles Times just this morning reported that famed TV doctors Frasier Crane, Bob Hartley, Joyce Brothers, Phil McGraw, and Jason Seaver have signed on to star in a big-screen adaptation of the popular TV series "Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman" where they begin to perform the old west's first combination colectomy and artificial heart implantation, only to remember halfway through that they are all actually psychiatric practitioners.
In January 2006 I successfully donated half my liver to my brother, Joe. This blog began in November 2005, when I was just a hopeful donor candidate, and continues today as a vehicle for sharing my experience and building community among past, current, and would-be live organ donors and transplant recipients. In 2007 I founded the Greatest Gift Foundation, which provides information and support to living organ donors throughout their transplant experience. I'm in Minneapolis, when I'm not traveling the country meeting with transplant teams. Contact us at greatestgiftfoundation@gmail.com.

Correct Becky.

And from there, of course, hilarity ensues!
